Buick took another step to strengthen its presence in the global design sneak peek into a luxury car show, which is going to reveal in China, the Beijing Auto Show on April 19. Named Invicta, Buick show car reflects the way General Motors uses its design and talent from around the world to make international appeal of premium vehicles.
The Invicta, Latin for "invincible," evolves into the overall design of the Buick Riviera concept introduced last year in Shanghai. The Invicta show car was co-developed by GM design centers in North America and China to meet customers' expectations equally in the two largest markets in the automotive world.
"Buick global appeal created an opportunity for GM Design Center to bring our cooperation to a new level. Using virtual reality centers in Warren, Mich., and Shanghai, designers fused the best ideas and cultures during the development of the Invicta" said Edward T. Welburn, vice president of General Motors Global Design. "The result is a new design standard for Buick, and could not be achieved by one studio working in isolation. Invicta represents another milestone in the history of Buick design."
Invicta Riviera concept is based on a modern design and attractive exterior in a rich interior. Buick Invicta homage to the 1940 through 1970, the nostalgic sweepspear design cue, a curved line running the length of the car. Outside there is also a signature vertical chrome waterfall grille and Buick a new look to the circular. Invicta interior lighting parts of the Riviera, and have a luxurious design.
Buick Invicta returns the name hiatus of 45 years. Buick Invicta was originally in vehicle production in North America from 1959 to 1963. It 's the first time the nameplate has appeared on the Buick in China.

Buick plates sold in North America include the Enclave luxury crossover and the LaCrosse and Lucerne sedans premium. Buick range in China includes the LaCrosse and Park Avenue premium sedans, Regal upper-middle sedan, Excelle compact car and GL8 executive wagon and FirstLand. The site, which also will debut at the China Motor Show in Hall of Beijing, are exported from the United States to China for sale later this year.
